What is Cajeta?

Our newest work is Cajeta (ca-HAY-teh). Cajeta is a slow-cooked caramel that is similar to dulce de leche. This differences are that Cajeta is Mexican in origin and made with goats milk. The name is derived from the name of the wooden containers the sweet milk is served in, cajas. Many of our customers have been happy with the versitlity of cajeta using it over ice cream, dipping cookies and fruit in it or mixing it in coffee!

There are so many ways to use it we are constantly hearing from customers of new uses. Try it in coffee, over ice cream, apple pie or even as a glaze for ham and carrots!
